However, if Trash is to last and grow, and if I am to not go crazy in the process it's material sources need to be more efficient: namely regular larger scale supplies from set sources. So the mission is to now create this efficient network.
So here's where I am asking for a little help if you would be so kind :)
-If you know of anybody that has a good source of the following materials they are currently throwing away, please let me know below:
- Used conveyor belt, vinyl flooring samples/offcuts, leather offcuts, used clothing/fabric offcuts, upholstery samples/offcuts, canvas offcuts, webbing, rubber matting (for cushioning layer), wetsuits used/offcuts, motorbike/racing tyres, car seatbelts, coffee bean sacks, underflooring foam.
-Basicely for a good shoe I ideally need:
- strong fabric for the upper, that has a bit of give to be comfortable
- strong yet not too firm layer for the base your foot goes on to
- a cushioning layer of rubber under this, to provide softness for comfort yet it cannot be too light or it will break off
- strong layer for the sole that cannot be too slippery.
